Mosaic Furniture

For the last 10 years I have been developing a new approach to Mosaics. As Evolution is inevitable, it naturally leads me to create with a contemporary edge.

While the material itself connects us to thousands of years ago it seems to adjust to our new ways of living and I like to integrate Mosaics in many transitional projects.

Valerie Carmet was born and raised in Romans (south of France ) famously known at the time for hosting most of the French shoemakers.

Valerie moved to New York City in ‘89 to work in the fashion industry and it’s in ‘95 she discovers a true passion for Mosaics; her career shifts to become a full time mosaic artist.

I like to see myself as a NYC chic “bohemian” with a twist of mosaic Pop Art. - Valerie Carmet
